Emma Schumacher is an Art Director and Designer born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She received her Bachelor in Fine Arts for Communication Design from Washington University’s Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts in 2023. 

With experience in the health and wellness, pet, and food and beverage industries, Emma has worked with a range of global clients to develop and expand their brand systems through print and digital publications, packaging, trade show installations, custom photography, and more.

When she’s not designing, you can find Emma strolling the streets of St. Louis with her partner and their rescue orange tabby cat. Her daily walks have inspired a playful passion project—an Instagram account (@catsofmaplewood) dedicated to capturing every cat she spots along the way.

In her free time she also helps her partner Jackson Hescock run a small contemporary art gallery called Rumpus Room, where she designs print materials for exhibitions, publications, and more. With Emma’s background in design and Jackson’s background in fine arts, the two combined forces to host artists from around the world and cultivate a community for creatives in the Midwest.
